Leggett & Platt Global Services (LPGS), as the centralized corporate agent for sourcing, freight management, and compliance activity, was established on 2003. LPGS is to act as the controlling group for finding and qualifying international vendors - as well as assisting in the evaluation of quotations for items the Corporation purchases from these vendors. LPGS has responsibility for assuring import and export Corporate Customs compliance throughout Leggett. The head office of Leggett & Platt Global Services is in Chicago, and its first Asia Pacific office was set up in Shanghai in Janurary 2004. Now LPGS Asia Pacific office has Taiwan Office, Guangzhou Office, and Ho Chi MInh City Office in Vietnam, which cover the sourcing business in Asia.
